Dr Bugs Tan
An Award Winning Inventor & Educationist
Bugs Tan is an award-winning innovator and educationist from Malaysia. He has won numerous awards for his work in innovation, including the National Innovator Award from the Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2007. He has also won awards from Switzerland, India, Korea, Canada, and the United States.
Tan is a practicing innovator with a Ph.D. in innovation and a Doctorate in Education. He is the Head of TVET Skill Education at ViTrox College. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Virtual World Inst. in the United States of America. He is a member of the Board of Governance for MyLAB at the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). He is also a Member of the Selection Committee for the National Academic Award.
In 2002, Tan was awarded the WORLD INVENTOR ORDER OF MERITS for his illustrious achievement in the division of INVENTOR ACADEMIA & EDUCATION at Korea's World Inventor's Award Festival (WIAF). Tan is a passionate advocate for innovation and education. He believes innovation and education are essential for economic growth and social progress. He is also committed to promoting STEM education and encouraging young people to pursue careers in science and technology.
